some of my favorite movies :)

i decided to make a list of my favorite movies.

they're somewhat in order...but i ALWAYS forget things when i'm making lists, so i'll update if i think of one i forget :)

standing still - i love this movie. it is my top favorite movie. filmed in 2005, it has an allstar cast. it's about a group of people who were best friends in high school who all went their separate ways. when they all gather back together yeeears down the road for two of the friends' wedding, you see just how much these people have changed and how they continue to change. it is such a funny, sweet, romantic, lesson-teaching movie. absolute favorite.

hercules - favorite Disney movie. I love the gospels. I love the plot. i love the music. i love everything about this movie. it is so funny and just amazing.

the devil wears prada and sex and the city - these go hand in hand, because to me, they are mostly about fashion. i love fashion. i love high dollar fashion. louboutin, gucci, jimmy choo, prada, vera wang, i love it all. partly because i can't afford it. but looking at this wonderfully gorgeous fashion merchandise is what consumes most of my free time. the studded belt carrie wore in sex and the city was a signature item that showed up numerous times throughout the movie. i love things like that.

walk the line - i love johnny and june. their relationship is so wonderful. they had serious problems, but they worked through everything together and always found a way back to one another. beautiful love story.

mamma mia! - amanda seyfried. amanda seyfried. amanda seyfried. oh, and the music and plotline is wonderful and beautiful.

jennifer's body - such a stupid movie, but one of my favorites and i cannot explain why.

national lampoon's christmas vacation - oh my gosh, just typing this made me almost laugh. this movie is one of the funniest movies i've ever seen in my life. i watch it EVERY year around christmas time at least 40 times :) it's tradition.

the notebook, dear john, and letters to juliet - no explanation neccessary.

gosh, i don't know. there are so many other great movies out there, but i guess these top my charts. if you notice, amanda seyfried is in a lot of these. i guess she's my favorite :)

as of recently:

rocky horror picture show - oh my god, funniest movie i've ever seen in my life. buuut, not for the homophobic people of the world and not for people who hate musicals and not for people who can't shut up during movies and not for people who can't read deeper into the surface of things and not for people who can't be mature. tim curry is WONDERFUL. he is the best at playing a transvestite i have ever seen. i want to see the show. i am in love with this movie and it's ridiculously racy content.

julie and julia - one of the most beautiful movies. julia has such a passion and love of life and food. it's beautiful. julie is just the same way. and these two women's husbands are the most supportive, passionate, loving men towards their wives i have ever seen. it's very refreshing and probably the main reason i love the movie so much.
